Ettalong Italian Festa

 Sunday 17th of May we headed to the Ettalong Italian Festa.

A small group of 13 IMSMC cars and 30 participants met at Thornleigh McDonald’s and made our way up the freeway in our usual cavalcade style.

As we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the event organisers and people already coming in to enjoy the festa.

We parked our beautiful cars in place, and throughout the day visiting members of the public shared comments like “I had one of these years ago,” “This was just like the car Nonno drove,” and “Beautiful car, mate.” It just goes to show how special our club really is and the impact we make.

There was plenty of food to choose from — pizza, pasta, waffles, gelato, and even some non‑Italian options for those who preferred something different.

The Festa has really grown since our last visit, with activities such as grape stomping, handmade market stalls throughout the building, singing and on‑stage entertainment, and even a gelato‑eating competition.

The day ran smoothly, and a great time was had by all. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to Ettalong.

Alfesta 2026

 Saturday the 2nd of May, 49 x IMSMC members with 39 x IMSMC cars, contributed  to Alfesta 2026, on the Beautiful lawns of Manor House in Sutton Forest!

 

This year, the Alfa Romeo Club celebrated the 60th anniversary of the DUETTO!!! Certainly one of Alfa's Iconic Models.

 

Our day began at the Foodary on the Hume Highway in Pheasants nest where we dominated the car park.  Prior to leaving, we had a brief assembly where our President addressed the crowd, making the announcement, " Alfa Romeo "IS" ITALIAN MADE!!!"

 

Punctuality is becoming a common feature within the club, where at exactly 7:45am we cavalcaded to Manor House. What a Beautiful sight... a abundance of waves and smiles to each of our cars as we made our way south on the Hume Hwy!

 

So much Italian engineering on display; Spiders, sedans, coupe's Historic and modern were a feast to the eyes.

 

We congratulate the organisers of the Alfa Romeo Club. We thank the event managers for their invitation and highlighting the significant contribution IMSMC made to the success of the day.  A  HUGE thank you to all the Italian Made Social Motoring Club members and family that shared in the celebration.
