On Saturday the 2nd of March, 37 of the IMSMC family, participated in the long lunch at Gartelmann. winery in Lovedale.
Our day began with a meet at Thornleigh Mc Donalds for a 930am departure... on to the M1, north bound.. The duties of our "mobile mechanics" Tony Albanese & Gerardo Mediati, were called up, but happy to report, we all made it to Gartelmann and safely home, a little challenging at times!
Upon arrival, to the winery, we were greeted,. firstly by a significant downpour, and all guests received a welcome refreshment. Lunch was soon served, as wine tasting was undertaken.. The food was abundant and very, very tasteful. Our master, hatted chef, prepared an equivalent "Steak Fiorentina" which many enjoyed the cooking process and the outcome was spectacular!
After leaving Gartelmann, we progressed onto our accommodation point at Wine Country Motor Inn, with later Saturday night, an assembly at the Cessnock leagues club ( next door), most opting for a very light meal.
A great weekend, one which we will replicate another time!
