500's at Enzo's Cucina

On Sunday the 16th of April, 22 Fiat 500's ( Il Cinquino) transported 38 participants to Enzo's Cucina in Camden, for an afternoon of Italian delights, great food and great company.

The Cinquini looked fantastic and attracted a HUGE amount of attention from the other guests of the restaurant! Amazing how much attention these iconic cars attract from the public!

 It is always a wonderful thing, to have members and their family attend our events, sharing the IMSMC passion!

 The staff & management of Enzo's Cucina are to be commended for the wonderful product and service offered by all staff. They are very accommodating, assisting our needs in every manner!

A raffle was held, with all prizes donated by members! All prizes are special... the "grand prize" being a limited edition, unique Fiat 500 poster produced by a Fiat 500 Club in France - Gerardo Mediati being a worthy winner - Extremely happy man!

Happy to report that everyone made it home safely - amazingly, the Sydney traffic extended courtesies on the roads - "It's just that kind of Car!!!"  La Cinquecento will always get you home!

Auto Italia 2023

 Sunday the 2nd of April, was the day of AUTO ITALIA 2023 Canberra ( held in Queanbeyan!)

A total of 42 members (60 including partners & family)  participated in the weekend, at different stages! Our weekend began with a gathering of IMSMC enthusiasts at Pheasants Nest, and our weekend began! First Stop Mackay VC, our Italian style morning tea - enough to feed five times the amount of people - THANK YOU Campisi Deli - You've done it again! 

Gerardo & Frances Mediati, organised the "pick up" of the abundance of food! A huge thank you to those that brought home made cakes - Nina Stillone, Lena Zanello ( I'm sure I've forgotten someone!). Tony Vecchio & Joe Lecce, provided an array of preserved (and prepared) olives, sundried tomatoes, hot chilli, eggplant and their famous anchovies!  Mick & Cate Stivala made sure that all the appropriate utensils were organised, Leo Di Rocco (Prodata) for catering for our coffee needs!!

 Soon after we were off to Goulburn for a refuel and short stop, then onto the Weereewa lookout - for a photo opportunity (and a fine tune for a vehicle or 2)  - Thank you Gerardo Mediati, Leo Di Rocco and Nat Stillone for fixing a little problem and we were off again to check into our respective hotels! The group regathered at the Ostani Bar, where more food, beverage and "yakking" took place. Later Saturday evening we were transported by bus to Turkish Pide in Woden for another GREAT night.

 

Sunday was AUTO ITALIA DAY !!! Our club was represented in great numbers... and we achieved many awards!

 The calibre of our cars are all FANTASTIC - judging is extremely difficult - NOT an easy job.

 Sunday Night, saw the IMSMC crew regather for dinner at Bellucci's - another GREAT NIGHT together! By this stage we were all ready for a great night's sleep, preparing for our trip home on Monday morning!
